Update on Patterns by SaltCityKnits

I have been receiving lots of questions, and I knew I needed to explain what is happening with all my patterns, formerly available on Ravelry.

There has already been loads of discussion about the decision Ravelry has made in banning certain members, and I don’t feel I have anything great to add to the discussion. I will just say that I agree wholeheartedly with everything that is mentioned here by Stephanie Knipper. In short, I know that Ravelry, as an independent, private business, has the right to make the rules in their own space. I also see it as my right and duty to spend my time and money in places that I can support.

To that end, I have chosen to remove my patterns from Ravelry and host them here, on our site instead, at least for the time being. It will take some time to get that sorted out, and I’m not sure yet what I will do about future designs. Please be patient with me while I get the details sorted out and make each pattern available.

I hope that there will be a movement to create more alternate platforms for publishing, purchasing, and storing digital pattern purchases in the future that can be free from political wrangling.

All my love,

Queen Emily
